On Tuesday, July 19th, Land Trust
Alliance President Rand Wentworth visited DLC. Rand arrived at DLC’s
office with LTA New York Conservation Manager Ethan Winter and met
with DLC President Becky Thornton and Board member Ross Williams to
discuss current land protection projects. After a driving tour of
one of DLC’s largest and most ecologically valuable conservation
easements (the 1650 acre Mashomack Fish and Game Preserve Club
property), DLC Board members hosted a dinner for Rand at local
restaurant La Puerta Azul. Rand and DLC Board members were able to
discuss conservation issues of national importance as well as those
issues affecting DLC and Dutchess County. Our sincere thanks to Rand
for making the trip!
Before
leaving DLC’s office for a tour of some of DLC’s easement protected
properties, LTA New York Conservation Manager Ethan Winter, DLC
President Becky Thornton, LTA President Rand Wentworth and DLC Board
Member Ross Williams paused for a picture.
