Dutchess Land Conservancy and Audubon NY

Thursday, June 30 7:00 PM at Buttercup Farm Audubon Sanctuary

Get ready for a Summer Evening Bird Walk with the DLC and Audubon NY. Want to take advantage of the long summer evenings and learn about birds, their habitat, the ecosystem they are a part of, and how to identify and record your sightings? Join the Dutchess Land Conservancy and Audubon New York for a Summer Evening Bird Walk, Thursday, June 30, 7:00 to 8:30 PM. As we walk, we will learn to use Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Merlin Bird ID application, along with their bird list application, eBird. It is not required, but you can download eBird and Merlin Bird ID to your smart devices to help support the scientific community. We will train you to use these simple but effective tools which support the world’s largest database of bird information, powering new data-driven approaches to science, conservation, and education.
