Andrew Pelletier joined the DLC in 2026 to support the organization’s expanding facilities and land preserve initiatives. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and went on to participate in a range of hands-on wildlife research and management projects. His experiences include rearing white sturgeon along the shores of Lake Roosevelt in Washington, triangulating wood ducks in central Wisconsin, and collecting grizzly bear hair samples in the Alaskan wilderness.

A native of Dover Plains, New York, Andrew eventually returned home to the Hudson Valley, where his lifelong passion for the outdoors first took root. He grew up hunting, fishing, and camping with his family, experiences that continue to shape his personal and professional interests. When he’s not in the field, Andrew can often be found behind a camera, capturing moments with his family, friends, and local conservation organizations.
