NEW DATE - AUGUST 17
Dutchess Land Conservancy & The Nature Conservancy

Saturday, August 17, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pawling Nature Reserve

Help improve the nation's most famous long-distance hiking trail!

Invasive species can quickly overtake a trail, creating a negative impact on the local ecosystem as well as on hikers’ ability to easily traverse and enjoy their time on the trail. Please join us to help work on a section of the Appalachian Trail on the Pawling Nature Reserve where we will work diligently to clear a particularly overgrown stretch of trail. There will be tasks for all fitness levels after a moderately steep 0.75-mile hike to the site. Come and learn to identify these invasives, and to be a part of making this trail more enjoyable for all!

Lunch will be provided.

Where to Meet:
Pawling Nature Reserve, Hurds Corners Road, Pawling
Parking: Park along Hurds Corners Road. Look for the green and white sign that says "The Nature Conservancy" where the Pink Trail starts.

What to Bring:

· Snacks
· Water
