Dutchess Land Conservancy & the Town of Stanford CAC
Thursday, June 6, 4:00 to 9:00 PM at the Gary M. Lovett Wildlife Preserve
Help remove invasive plants and improve habitat!
Invasive species can quickly grow to dominate the landscape, and their presence can cause serious ecological harm. We need your help to work on controlling some of the more aggressive plants that are taking over our trails, fields, and hedgerows at the Lovett Preserve! We’ll be working to control mile-a-minute vine and other problematic plants, which will not just improve your hiking experience, it will also improve the quality of habitat for the wildlife living in or passing through the preserve. The extended timeframe for the event means you can drop in for an hour or stay for the whole time – come by on your way home from work or stop by after dinner! There will be tasks for all levels of age and fitness.
