Explore the nighttime world of moths with a local expert!
Would you like to know what's flying around in our fields and forests when the sun goes down? Join local lepidopterist Matthew Rymkiewicz on a nighttime journey through the Bontecou Preserve to discover the many common and rare moths of our area. Matthew will set up two moth attraction stations and viewing sites, allowing attendees to observe dozens of these winged wonders. Learn from an expert about these beautiful and fascinating creatures and their vital and often overlooked role in food webs, pollination, and more. Please bring a flashlight or headlamp and a sense of adventure!
