Learn the basics of native tree and shrub seedling planting!

Please join the Dutchess Land Conservancy and the Dutchess County Soil and Water Conservation District at the Bontecou Wildlife Conservation Preserve on Saturday, May 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM as we plant native tree and shrub seedlings in a forest restoration plot. Participants will learn about the importance of planting based on eco-region, methods to successfully plant bare-root plants, and how to plan for proper site and plant selection. This program will also highlight how the stewardship work happening at Bontecou connects to what individuals can do on their own properties to support healthy habitats and durable restoration. Lunch will be provided.
