Dutchess Land Conservancy & Wild Woods Restoration Project
Wednesday, June 3, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jesse and Gayle Bontecou Wildlife Conservation Preserve
Learn how to restore landscapes with native plants!
Would you like to learn about starting native plants from seedlings AND improve habitat at the Bontecou Preserve? Join the DLC and Wild Woods Restoration Project on Wednesday, June 3 from 10:00 AM to noon for a native plant seedling potting up event. This is a great opportunity to discover more about native woodland plants from experts and their importance for long-term local forest health. You'll learn the specific whys and hows of planting native species that will eventually be transplanted at the Bontecou Preserve and become important food sources and cover for local wildlife. We'll provide the pots, the soil, and the plants. You provide the curiosity and the desire to get your hands a little dirty.
