Dutchess Land Conservancy & Wild Woods Restoration Project
Saturday, June 13, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jesse and Gayle Bontecou Wildlife Conservation Preserve
Learn how to restore landscapes with native plants! Additional opportunity on June 13!
For those unable to make our weekday event, we are now holding an additional opportunity on Saturday, June 13. Would you like to learn about starting native plants from seedlings AND improve habitat at the Bontecou Preserve? Join the DLC and Wild Woods Restoration Project on Wednesday, June 3 from 10:00 AM to noon for a native plant seedling potting up event. This is a great opportunity to learn from experts about the importance of native woodland plants for long-term local forest health. You'll learn the specific whys and hows of planting native species that will eventually be transplanted into a forest restoration site at the Bontecou Preserve. There, these plants will become important food sources and cover for local wildlife. We'll provide the pots, the soil, and the plants. You provide the curiosity and the desire to get your hands a little dirty.
