The cloudy chill of early spring couldn't dampen the spirits of guests anxious to learn about the art of fly fishing - from fly tying to casting - as well as the importance of stream ecology for fish health. The DLC teamed with the Housatonic Valley Association, Mid-Hudson Trout Unlimited, and the Town of Dover CAC for an afternoon at JH Ketcham Memorial Park in Dover Plains filled with hands-on lessons and tutorials on fishing and opportunities to experience the wonder of life within our rivers and streams, and the importance of keeping them clean and healthy. Guests gained experience and knowledge - and had a ton of fun - in what was a memorable day for all.
