Eight additional properties were protected in 2021, comprising more than 800 acres of land with special scenic, rural, and natural features that will remain forever intact.

2019 was a great year for conservation: more than 475 acres of land will remain open forever thanks to local landowners who care about the future of their land and were willing to donate conservation easements to the DLC ensuring the lands’ protection into the future.

In 2018 the DLC worked to conserve 18 properties and more than 3,300 acres, completing 5 projects totaling 660 acres by year-end.
