Wandering Among the Wildflowers

It was a perfect June evening for a stroll through the woods and fields of the Buttercup Farm Audubon Sanctuary in Stanfordville, and guests made sure to soak up every bit of the experience. On a walk led by Sanctuary Manager Dave Decker, who did a marvelous job of highlighting both the beautiful native wildflowers and the intrusive invasive plants, attendees discovered the natural joys found in our area as the calendar turns to summer. Folks young and old asked questions and learned a bunch from Dave as they enjoyed the long hours of sunlight and comfortable weather. It was an ideal time that combined education and the enjoyment of the outdoors.
